Key specs at a glance

Figures come from Amazfit's published information and reviewers. Ask our team to confirm the details of the unit you order.

What it's built for

The Cheetah 2 Ultra tracks the running metrics serious runners use: lactate threshold, running power, gait analysis, pacing and finish-time prediction, plus training load, VO2 max, heart rate variability and BioCharge, Amazfit's energy measure. It also adds trail-specific tools, including a Trail Running mode, a terrain load factor and an Elevation Overview, which are exclusive to the Ultra within the Cheetah range, according to one review.

How good is the GPS

An independent tester scored its GPS accuracy at 85% on a 10-mile test. That was ahead of the Cheetah 2 Pro, at 73%, but behind the best Coros and Garmin watches. The tester also projected about 55 hours in full-accuracy mode in real-world testing.

Who the Cheetah 2 Ultra is for

Trail and ultra runners preparing for races with big elevation and long hours.

Road runners who want a titanium and sapphire watch. The tester notes that for road runners the features match the Cheetah 2 Pro, so the extra cost is for the battery, screen and trail features.

Buyers who want an Amazfit watch that focuses on running more than general adventure.

Cheetah 2 Ultra vs T-Rex Ultra 2

The T-Rex Ultra 2, also in our range, is the rugged all-round adventure watch with a bigger battery and 64 GB of maps. The Cheetah 2 Ultra is lighter in purpose and focused on running. Pick by whether you hike and dive as well as run.
