Who you are buying from

City Gadgets Kenya trades from New Alnoor Exhibition, Shop 7, Second Floor, Taveta Road, Nairobi CBD. You can visit us during opening hours, and every order can be collected in person if you would rather see the device before you pay.

Orders

Adding an item to your cart or sending us a WhatsApp message is a request to buy, not a completed sale. A sale is complete when we confirm the item is in stock and payment is received. If we cannot fulfil an order — because the item sold at the counter, or a price was published in error — we will tell you and refund any money paid in full.

Your receipt is the record of the sale. It carries the receipt number, the serial or IMEI of the device and the terms of cover, so keep it.

Prices

• All prices are in Kenyan Shillings (KSh) and are VAT exclusive.
• Delivery is charged separately and shown to you before you pay.
• Prices move with the market and with exchange rates. The price that applies is the one confirmed at the time you pay, not a price cached in your browser or seen in an older screenshot.
• Obvious pricing errors do not bind us. If an item is listed at a clearly wrong price, we will contact you and either honour the correct price with your agreement or refund you in full.

Payment

We accept M-PESA, Cash, Card, Bank transfer. Goods remain our property until payment has cleared in full.

Pay only into accounts we confirm to you directly on our official numbers. We will never ask you to send money to a personal account given to you by someone else, and we are not responsible for payments made to accounts we did not confirm.

Lipa Mdogo Mdogo instalments

Our Lipa Mdogo Mdogo plan lets you pay a 40% deposit on the cash price, take the device home the same day, and clear the balance in weekly payments over 4, 12 or 24 weeks.

• A financing charge applies, added to the financed balance — the cash price less your deposit — and rising with the term: 30% over 4 weeks, 50% over 12 weeks and 80% over 24 weeks. It is never charged on your deposit. Buying on a plan therefore costs more than paying cash, and the exact shillings are shown on the programme page and written into your schedule before you sign.
• Approval requires your original Kenyan national ID (or a valid passport), 6 months of M-PESA or bank statements, and an M-PESA number registered in your own name. The statements are used only to check that the instalments are affordable for you, and are handled under our Privacy Policy.
• The schedule is agreed and written down before the device is released to you.
• You may settle the balance early at any time with no penalty. The financing charge is fixed when the plan starts, so settling early ends the payments sooner rather than reducing the total.
• If you cannot pay on a due date, contact us before the date. We would rather agree a revised schedule than penalise you.
• Availability is at our discretion and is limited to the devices listed on the programme page.

Genuine stock

We sell genuine, IMEI-clean hardware. Condition is stated on every listing — brand new and sealed, or certified refurbished, never presented as the other. If we ever supply something that is not what was described, that is our error to fix, and the Returns & Warranty policy applies in full.

Warranty and liability

Devices carry a 12-month official brand warranty against manufacturer defects, subject to the exclusions set out in the Returns & Warranty policy.

Our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost income, lost data, or the cost of a temporary replacement device. Please back up your data before handing any device in for service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights when goods are faulty or not as described.

Using this website

• Product photography, descriptions and guides on this site are ours; please do not republish them as your own.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at scale, or use it to mislead others.
• Keep your account password to yourself — you are responsible for orders placed from your account.
• Reviews and comments you post must be your own honest experience. We may remove content that is abusive or untrue.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the Kenyan courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If something goes wrong, talk to us first — most problems are settled the same day on WhatsApp.
