Genuine Amazon | 10.2-Inch 300 ppi E Ink | Premium Pen Included | 64GB

The Kindle Scribe is a large e-reader that doubles as a digital notebook: you read on it, and write on it with the Premium Pen. Available in Kenya from City Gadgets Kenya as an authentic Amazon product, this guide is for shoppers searching "Kindle Scribe Kenya," "e-ink notebook Nairobi," "digital notebook with pen Kenya," or "Kindle Scribe price."

What's different about the 2024 Scribe

Amazon redesigned the 2024 Scribe with even white borders around the screen, a better-balanced pen and the new Active Canvas feature, which lets you write notes right next to the text in a book. The Premium Pen feels more like a real pen, and the eraser works like a pencil's.

Reading and writing

The big screen suits reading PDFs, textbooks and documents that look cramped on a 6- or 7-inch Kindle. You can take notes, sketch, mark up documents and write in a notebook. It isn't a full tablet: it's black and white, doesn't run general apps, and an e-ink screen refreshes more slowly than a tablet. The reMarkable range is the main rival for e-ink note-taking.

Before you buy: your books and your account

A Kindle works best with an Amazon account. Whether you can buy books from the Kindle Store depends on your country and account settings, so ask us what works in Kenya. You can also read your own files, such as PDFs, by sending them to the Kindle.

Who it's for

Students and professionals who want to read and annotate documents.

Note-takers who like pen and paper but want digital copies.

Readers who want a big screen for PDFs.

Is 64GB the right size

Documents and notebooks take little room. The 64GB version is for people who keep very large libraries or many notebooks. The 16GB version is enough for most people. Ask us if you want to compare.
