ASUS is unusual in that it makes both finished laptops and the motherboards and graphics cards inside other people's desktops. That component heritage shows in its gaming machines, which tend to have better cooling and more tuning options than rivals.
The naming is easy once you know it: ROG (Republic of Gamers) is the high-end gaming line, TUF is the more affordable and durability-focused gaming tier, ZenBook is the premium thin-and-light for work, and Vivobook is the everyday value range.
ASUS also makes the ROG Ally, a Windows handheld that plays PC games portably — the closest thing to a Steam Deck that runs Windows natively.

The Zephyrus G14 is the sweet spot if you want one machine for both gaming and real work. Buy TUF if budget matters more than thinness, and Vivobook if you are not gaming at all.
